CHEAP! HID / HPS / Metal Halide Grow Lights

In this video I show how to take a 400 Watt HID Metal Halide Warehouse light fixture and convert it to a grow light that you can you in your home. The same method can be used for high pressure sodium fixtures. These are verticle fixtures but can be converted to horizontal. I bought the fixture, bulb and new cord for .50 USD. I show where to look to find a deal like this.

My Cheap CFL Grow Light Fixture Results in Hydroponics (Lettuce and Beans)

This is a video showing hydroponic lettuce growing under the lights that I made in my other video “How To Build a CFL Grow Light Fixture – CHEAP!”. I’ve been making a video from seed to harvest using these lights along with a hydroponic system shown in this video. I’ll post that as soon as it’s all together after my harvest. Comments and suggestions welcome. Take Care.

MORE CFL Grow Light Fixture Results in Hydroponics (Bell Peppers!)

More results of my home-made DIY grow lights. If you’d like to share your construction variation or results, upload a photo at www.tinypic.com and send me the link. I’ll post it in the info box to share with everyone. I planted these Bell Peppers from seed on July 9th, 2009. I took this video on November 15th 2009. I started to get peppers at the end of September. I currently have about 15 peppers on the plants. The more I pollinate, the more peppers I get. It’s really a pepper machine! I’m using a mix of two 300 Watt, 2700k bulbs and two 200 Watt 6700k bulbs. I had 4 200 Watt 6700k bulbs at the start until flowers appeared. I had a few unused fluorescent bulbs that I added above them for a little extra kick. I’m convinced that these lights can handle anything you would want to grow since these are doing so well. Bell Peppers are going for .00-.50 USD each. This will pay for itself. I’m going to pollinate them more to see if I can max them out. I had no idea when I started them that they would get so big. They are doing twice as good as the ones I plant outside in the Summer. I’ll be experimenting with other vegetable and posting results as well as building a few new goodies. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE FOR THE LATEST!

CFL Grow Light Reviews for Indoor Hydroponics and Indoor Gardening

In This video I show the various CFL Grow Lights that I have used the past few years and compare. They are all from local stores such as Menards and Home Depot. I mention the prices and light output for each. I also show hydroponic tomatoes that are a little over 2 weeks old. The largest bulb I show is the maximum length that the fixture can hnadle that I built in a previous video. My work in progress: www.tomorrowsgarden.net Buy your veggie seeds now guys. It’s cheap insurance. The stuff on the store shelves may not always be there.

How to grow cannabis outdoor or indoor with the proper Plant Pot Size

A cannabis of 6″*6″*6″ should be perfect to support good growth.
One of these per plant is how to grow cannabis.

Organic Soil Mixes

There are many different types of soil mixes available and they are easy to obtain from garden centers.
Two proven types are:
-4 parts topsoil, 1 part peat moss, 1 part vermiculite, 1 part perlite.
This is moist, contains medium/high amounts of nutrients and is best for hand watering systems.
-1 part worm castings, 2 parts vermiculite, 1 part perlite.
This is light-weight and high in nutrients.

Fertilizer

The main nutrients that a plant needs to grow are Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium. Most plant fertilizers contain these elements and a good, easily available, one is called Grow More.
If you really want to then here are the some effective ratios of the three elements to be used through the two growth stages.
Early growth stages: 7-9-5 or 5-10-5 or 4-5-3.
For the flowering stages use 3-10-4 or 5-20-5 or 4-30-12.
It is best to build up the amount of fertilizer you use to what is making the plants look healthily green as too much fertilizer can kill the plant.

How to grow cannabis outdoors or indoors and deal with Soil pH Levels

Any pH level between 6 and 7 is fine but you should aim for as close to 6.5 as possible.

Temperature when how to grow cannabis indoor

Aim for 70 F. Anything higher than 75F will be too hot and will damage growth. Make sure the water for watering is luke-warm.

CANNABIS LIFE CYCLE

Cannabis plants may belong to any one of a number of varieties which follow somewhat different growth patterns. The following outline describes the more common form of growth. Differences between varieties can be thought of as variations on this standard theme.
Cannabis is an annual plant. A single season completes a generation, leaving all hope for the future to the seeds. The normal life cycle follows the general pattern described below.

Grow cannabis indoor and outdoor Germination

With winter past, the moisture and warmth of spring stir activity in the embryo. Water is absorbed and the embryo’s tissues swell and grow, splitting the seed along its suture.
The radical or embryonic root appears first. Once clear of the seed, the root directs growth downward in response to gravity. Meanwhile, the seed is being lifted upward by growing cells which form the seedling’s stem.

Now anchored by the roots, and receiving water and nutrients, the embryonic leaves (cotyledons) unfold. They are a pair of small, somewhat oval, simple leaves, now green with chlorophyll to absorb the life-giving light. Germination is complete. The embryo has been reborn and is now a seedling living on the food it produces through photosynthesis. The process of germination is usually completed in three to 10 days.

Seedling

The second pair of leaves begins the seedling stage. They are set opposite each other and usually have a single blade. They differ from the embryonic leaves by their larger size, spearhead shape, and serrated margins. With the next pair of leaves that appears, usually each leaf has three blades and is larger still.
A basic pattern has been set. Each new set of leaves will be larger, with a higher number of blades per leaf until, depending on variety, they reach their maximum number, often nine or 11.
The seedling stage is completed within four to six weeks.

Massive Plant with Super Size Buds HARVEST (Alice was her name)

BREAKING NEWS
visit my new web-site

http://www.SUPERGROWPLANTS.com

See my tips and grow guides.
Do some shopping or Join the Forums and post your grows!

Strain: Ogre/Afghan
Lighting 100% HPS from seed to harvest. 2 X 150 watt HPS about 2 inches away. lights are discontinued and not on the market :(

Veg. was 3 weeks
Flower was 13 weeks.
This plant was taking to long and was still doing great and growing at 13 weeks. The white hairs were still exploding and I lost my patience. As soon as I seen some amber trichomes I harvested. I will grow white widow or northern lights next.
Soil: Fox Farm Organic Ocean Forest
Pot size was 1 us gallon or 3.8 liters.
No Co2 or Hydro was used in this grow.
2 powerful turbo fans and 1 occilating fan was used for good air movement.

Dried Harvest was 12 oz.
What I could of done to increase the harvest to a pound or more was buy a CO2 dispenser and a MH light for supplement. I didn’t do this because I did not have an air tight grow tent. I did not make my CO2 by fermentation for the same reason, no grow tent.

Stay tuned and subscribe.
